Many seasoned breeders allege that shelties are mini-adults at 8 weeks of age and one can choose which ones will be show dogs. We find that we have not learned this craft just yet and so have to have check-points at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months and 1 year before we decide on true keepers. The puppies here have not quite earned their 'keeper' status just yet...
